A situation that I successfully showed character strengths was when I needed to get a 80 in a test, so I studied so hard, I did all the homeworks that the teacher gave us, I paid attention in class, and in the test got a 84. This situation showed zest because I didn't gave up, and I could accomplish my goal of get a 80 or more.

Practicing the character strenghts can help us to relate better with people, develop curiosity skills and this can help us to do things such as enlarge of vocabulary, or maybe reading more books, planing different projects. if we forgive and apoligize we will feel a lot better with ourselves. Some people don´t see the logic in apoligizing or forgiving because the mistake was already done you already hrt someone and it will not change it. It may be truth you can not change the past aplogizing and forgiving but you can change the future.

Today we want to talk about a problem we personally have been through. This problem is not being able to forgive someone. Both of us had never been to forgive some things did to us. An example is that months ago one of us had some problems with a friend because of something that friend told and did to her. The other person recognize her mistake and apologize several times until she gave up. Now she regrets not accepting her apologize and not applying the forgiveness.

We are going to talk about Ana Paula Garcia  and the character stremnghts that make her a good student. She is a very curious person. She always shows a passion in learning new things at school. She is an enthusiastic person because when she likes something puts a lot of effort on it. She never gives up and that is what make her a good student. She applied this in the Science Fair because she had a problem with the experiment one day before the Science Fair so she work hard all day to make a good experiment and a good presentation for the Science Fair.

Tips for school

1. Don't copy: it's better not to deliver the work or homework than to deliver the homework but being dishonest, you are being honest.
2. Be curious: show interest in learning new things or you can associate something that for you is boring or difficult to learn with another topic that is funny for you.
3. Be kind: treat others nicely so you cna have a lot of friends.
4. Do not judge others: before making a judgment, first take your time to know each other.
5. Be hoppeful: do not let dumb things bring you down.

ABOUT OURSELVES

We think that the Charcter Strenghts that we emphasized the most are tolerance, optimism, self control, and honesty. 

We think we have tolerance because i always let them express their opinion and their feelings even if I don´t think the same as them. We also think we have optimism because we show happiness even in dificulties.
We have self control because we control our feelings and impulses.
We have honesty because we always tell the truth.
We have applied all of the charcter strenghts above when we work in team because we need to tolerate each other, show optimism, control ourselves and always tell the truth.

A couple days ago, we talked with Jose Borrego who is the person in charge to direct the sports and cultural activities in the school, he told us that he did a quiz that tell you what are your top 5 of  characters strenghts, and he told us that his top 3 were justice, love and tolerance. he told us a story, that 3 years ago when he was the tutor of third grade, he and his students were playing "La Oca" and he took off 5 points in a team, and one of his students got mad with him and he stared yell him because the student thought that he was unfair but he answered clam and he didn't yell, then latter the student went with prof. Borrego and he told prof. Borrego that he was sorry.

We think that he has

We think that the two character strenghts Jose Borrego emphasized the most are tolerance and justice. We think that he is a tolerant person because he always solves problems without the need of raising his voice or in other words shouting. For example we have seen him helping students to recognize their mistakes with no more that talking peacefully. We also think that is a person who always takes right desicions and with right we mean giving everybody what each person deserves. 

Get to know someone

Today we are going to talk about Jose Borrego who is the person in charge to direct the sports and cultural activitiesin the school. He likes basketball, food and enjoys reading. He hates tomato, hot temperatures, lies, liars, and classical music. His favorites things to do are giving classes, watch Youtube videos and reading. He is married with Nancy De Samper who also works in the school and she is the teacher of Character Education in first grade. He is a very funny and dedicated person because he cares for his students, and is always making jokes.

We considered that this movie had a very important teaching because Bruno known that Shmuel was Jewish but he still was his friend and he didn't mind the situation.

A book that we both have read is one called Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki it shows how 2 9 year old kids were persistent until they became millionares.
